About Reservations

What should I do if the person making the reservation is different from the driver?

Online reservations can be made by someone other than the driver.
Please enter the driver’s name in the reservation details,and on the day of rental, the actual driver should come to the office.

Can I reserve options such as child seats?

Yes, you can.
Please select the desired option on the reservation screen.

Age: Newborn to around 1 year old
Weight: Up to approx. 10kg
Height: Up to approx. 75cm

<Child Seat>
Age: Around 6 months to 4 years old
Weight: Up to approx. 18kg
Height: Up to approx. 100cm

<Junior Seat>
Age: Around 4 to 6 years old
Weight: Up to approx. 32kg
Height: Up to approx. 135cm

Are all vehicles automatic (AT)?

Yes, all vehicles at COLDIO Rentacar are automatic (AT).

Can I specify a vehicle model when making a reservation?

Our entire fleet consists exclusively of ALPHARD models.

Can I ride with my pet?

We do not allow pets in the vehicle, even if they are kept inside a cage.

How are the rental fees calculated?

COLDIO Rentacar uses a “per-day (overnight) rate system.”
As long as it is within the same rental day, the price does not change
regardless of the pick-up or return time.

About Cancellations

How can I change or cancel my reservation?

Please contact our office by phone or email.

※For cancellations on the “day before” or “the day of” your rental,
please call us instead of using email.

About Using the Service

What should I bring on the day of rental?

Please bring the following items:

  • Passport of the person who will be driving the rental car.
  • International Driving Permit (IDP) based on the Geneva Convention on Road Traffic.
  • Credit card or cash for payment of the rental fee.
If I forget to bring my driver’s license or other required documents on the day, can I still rent the car?

No. If you forget your driver’s license or other required documents, we cannot provide a rental car.
Please make sure to bring it with you.

What should I do if I will be late for my reserved time?

If you expect to be late, please make sure to call our office.

What should I do after arriving at Naha Airport?

Please take a taxi from the “Medium- and short-distance taxi stand” on the 1st floor
and head to our rental car office.
We will reimburse the actual taxi fare to our office upon presentation of a receipt.

Is there a shuttle service from the office to Naha Airport after returning the car?

We do not provide airport transfers after vehicle return.
Please arrange a taxi if needed.

Is it possible to return the car before business hours?

No. We do not accept returns outside business hours.
Please return the vehicle during our operating hours.

Is it possible to pick up the car outside business hours?

No. We do not offer pick-up service outside business hours.
Please plan your departure within our operating hours.

If my rental time extends, will an additional fee be charged?

Yes. Additional charges may apply depending on the extension time.
Please settle the payment at the office.

About Payment Methods

When should I make the payment?

Please make your payment in cash or by credit card at the rental car office
at the time of departure.
If any additional charges occur, they will be settled upon return.

Can I pay by credit card?

Yes. We accept major credit cards (VISA, JCB, MasterCard, AMEX).

Can I pay with electronic money?

Yes. QuickPay is accepted.

Other Questions

Can a beginner driver (licensed for less than one year) rent a car?

Yes, it is possible. However, please bring your “Beginner Driver Mark” (Shoshinsha mark), as required by Japanese law.

Please tell me in detail how to get from Naha Airport to the rental office by taxi.

Please board a taxi from the Medium- and short-distance taxi stand on the 1st floor of
Naha Airport (click here for the taxi stand map).
The address of the rental car office is:
849-10 Onaga, Tomigusuku City, Okinawa.

After arriving at the office, please pay the taxi fare first.
We will reimburse the actual amount at the reception,
so please remember to keep the receipt.

After returning the rental car, is there a shuttle service to Naha Airport?

We do not provide airport transfers after vehicle return.
Please arrange a taxi if needed.

Please tell me the procedures at the rental car office.

1. We will reimburse your taxi fare,
 so please present the receipt.
2. We will proceed with the rental car check-in, so please present your International Driving Permit (IDP) .
3. We will explain the liability waiver, NOC coverage,
 the requirement to return the car with a full tank of fuel,
 and details about the vehicle.
4. After you check the vehicle together with us
 (for any scratches or existing damage),
 you will sign the form and then you are ready to depart.
